The TurboTax Basic plan is ideal for you if you’ve used TurboTax in the past and either rent or own your home but don’t have a mortgage. It costs $29.95 for your federal return and $39.95 for your state return, which comes to a total of $69.90. Both your federal and state returns include free e-filing.  The TurboTax Basic plan is very easy to use and asks your tax questions in plain English. You’re also able to import your W-2s with TurboTax Basic.
